Week five we read I Am An Artist by Lowery Collins:
Tuesday was a beautiful day so I took the kids outside and we went exploring. They loved finding different nuts and leaves, twigs and feathers. We brought one nut inside and they were fascinated when I cracked it open to see the inside.
I placed some of the things we found in front of them on the table, and had them draw what they saw.
Next, we did leaf rubbings. (I had some fake plastic leaves so that made it easier.) They loved this, experimenting with different colors (and different objects!).
On Friday we learned the Bible verse Isaiah 6:3 and made these cute trees:
