I didn't take pictures, but what I did was buy/ collect all the different things that the girl in the story filled her pocketbook with: bus tickets, yellow and purple lollipops, names typed on typewriter, key chains, tiny calendars, orange slice candies, and boxes of crayons. I also bought green gift bags which worked well for their pocketbooks. I places all the items around the room and, after reading the book a first time, read it again and we walked to each station where they were gleeful to find the same things the girl in the book received.
This was a really fun, interactive way to bring the story to life.
